Back in 2010, we left the city and began our homesteading journey—tucked into that decision were five small children, with one more on the way. Nothing about it was easy. Some days tested us, some nights stretched on, and we learned as we went.
But through all of it, something kept pulling us forward: the feeling of fresh air in our lungs and space in our hearts. It was refreshing in a way we didn’t fully understand at the time—like a weight had lifted off my shoulders.
Homesteading didn’t just change our address. It gave us a kind of freedom we’d been craving, and a life that finally felt like it belonged to us.
